Gary and I decided to escape from L.A to Sunny Diego this 4th of July weekend. It was probably one of the most relaxing weekends we both shared together in a loooong time. If you exclude the sleepless nights due to the night clubs above and below our hotel room. Highly recommend a weekend getaway to recharge the mind, body, and spirit.

I couldn’t take the heat. I worked in the morning, went to an audition, and in the late afternoon when it hit 104 degrees I decided to wash clothes. By the time it hit 6pm it was either strangle Gary(which I’m pretty sure was mostly just irritation from the heat) or hit the beach. I checked the weather for Santa Monica on my phone. 68 DEGREES!!! When I saw that amazing, beautiful,...

Droid does what?!
Well I’ll tell you what it wasn’t doing. Working properly  and now I gots to reboot. My smart phone has been, well let’s just say not so smart lately. I have read every thread on every geek page there is and all signs point to the hard reset. Which means clearing the majority of my phones information and changing it back to the factory settings. Ugh :( I don’t have that...

To Gary
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. ~Marcel Proust I can’t believe we are at our 4yr mark today. It seems like yesterday that we first met. For the past 4 years on a daily basis you continue to inspire me, drive me crazy, and make me laugh. I am eternally grateful for your friendship, love and compassion.  Thank you...

Living and Breathing
I have been living and breathing theatre for the past five weeks. Since then I have myself surrounded by many talented people and not just talented but good people. You know, Theatre folk. I consistently ask myself why am trying to start my own theatre company? Why am I putting up a show with no budget and no stage manager? Then I get to rehearsal, see other theatre folk like myself, see people...

Chatty Kathy #1
Excerpts from my morning chats with my dear friends. 2/26/10 From my morning conversation with Michelle me: I was just swept over with emotion listening to krcw say goodbye to their GM of 35 yrs. Her name is Ruth. They were doing a story about her called The Truth about Ruth. They started to talk about how she signed everyones birthday cards with “kiss the joy as it flys by” I...

Late Bloomer
I’ve tried to have plants but I always kill them. Gary bought us a cactus one Sunday afternoon while he waited for me to finish rehearsal for Shakespeare by the sea. We named the cactus “Sunday.” I know, very original coming from the guys who have a cat named Kitten. The point is we named the cactus so we could talk to her. We heard talking was the trick to keeping plants alive....

Decorating my own soul.
So i recently got to a point where i realized that i often don’t take my own advice. I’m usually the one who encourages others to take care of themselves. Not to let life whisk you away and all that other stuff they peddle on Oprah.com. A difficult task at hand for someone who is a people pleaser. Recently I have found my days revolving around doing laundry, cleaning kitty litter and...
